We had a delightful stay in this beautifully decorated room made very comfortable on a hot day by an efficient air conditioning system. The renovation of the ancient convent has provided all the comforts of the 21st century whilst …
Interesting former convent close to the centre of Narbonne. Rooms appear to be decorated in mock regal splendour which was fun. Towels and linen provided (not always a given in France).
Location-wise the convent is right next to the canal and a short stroll from the cathedral. Plenty of shops and restaurants within a 10-minute walk.
Interesting former Convent, our room Sherazade was small but very clean, other rooms were lovely. Great lack of communication on arrival, told hostess wouldn't be there until arrival of 3pm time but no one there who spoke English on arrival. Parking is in outside garage.Didnt find location that great
We stayed for theee nights—one of the most historic and scenic places we’ve been highly recommended!
Wonderful place to stay in the centre of Narbonne. Amazing ancient building, with quirky features and beautifully renovated rooms. Excellent onsite parking. Staff really helpful and the owner, Manuel Martins, an extraordinary man, who has been renovating the property for over 30 years. Will definitely come back.
Very good address, charming; very beautiful restoration, with beautiful solid wood furniture. Quality bedding. I especially loved the old stones, a place steeped in history. It's a dream, still part of it under construction, we have the impression of discovering a treasure...
It is true that we will come back, we are so won over!
Also note that some studios are wheelchair accessible and this is a rare gem! We were able to enjoy it as a family with our daughter in a wheelchair and it was perfect.
Thank you also to the owner for allowing us to visit the tower and the convent, for sharing this exceptional place with us!
See you soon.
Stunning we loved this 5plus perfect stay in chamber les romantic can't thank u enough so special wishing well in the room beautiful stunning colour changing chandelier, breathtaking place
Excellent location if you want to visit Narbonne (city not on the sea) or as a stopover on a longer trip.
Former convent asking for renovation and used as rooms. Ours was an apartment with 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of the 2 very large with a bathtub and the second small with a shower. Air conditioning, towels and the necessary minimum. Very convenient location and covered parking available for 8 euros.
Easy access with codes
The style is a little unparticular but for one night it's more than fine
2 steps from the cathedral
We occupied the romantic room.
Room very nicely decorated and very spacious! However, I give it a rating of 4/5 because the room was very cold (month of November), the heating system in the living room did not work, making it difficult to warm the room. The one upstairs (in the bedroom) worked but did not heat the living room or the bathroom. So we have them cold.
The electric shutter in the living room didn't work either.
Very beautiful building, the tower gives a magnificent view, the corridors and the furniture in splendid wood. Still under construction/renovation and full of history (watch out for workers smoking in the building, spreading the smell). The end of the construction site will herald a magnificent and well-renovated building respecting the memory of the place. Very warm welcome from the owner and hostess.
No breakfast but a collaboration with a bakery.
Looking forward to seeing when it's all over. We will come back with pleasure.
Here, we are dealing with a true esthete. Everything is perfect down to the smallest detail. Carved solid wood doors. Plinths with grooves. Great bedding. Very high-end whirlpool bathtub. A film set! (in case for the imperial bedroom). Of …
